The Njoy Pothos (Epipremnum aureum 'Njoy') is a cultivar of the popular pothos plant, also known as devil's ivy. It is a fast-growing, trailing vine that is prized for its attractive variegated foliage.
The Njoy Pothos has heart-shaped leaves that are dark green with white or yellowish-green variegation. The variegation pattern is highly variable, with some leaves having more white than others.
Like other pothos plants, the Njoy Pothos is a great choice for beginners or anyone looking for a low-maintenance houseplant. It can thrive in a wide range of conditions, from low to bright indirect light, and can tolerate occasional periods of drought.
Where do I come from?
I am native to the South Pacific Islands.
Light
The Njoy Pothos can tolerate a range of light conditions, from low to bright indirect light. However, it will grow best in bright, indirect light.
Direct sunlight can scorch the leaves of the plant, so it's best to avoid placing it in a spot where it will receive direct sunlight. On the other hand, too little light can cause the variegation to fade and the leaves to become smaller and less vibrant.
A good place to put your Njoy Pothos is near a north or east-facing window, where it can receive bright, indirect light for several hours each day.
Water
The Njoy Pothos prefers consistently moist soil, but it's important to avoid overwatering, as this can lead to root rot. It's best to allow the top inch of soil to dry out between waterings and to ensure that the soil is well-draining.
When watering your Njoy Pothos, be sure to saturate the soil evenly and let the excess water drain away. Avoid letting the plant sit in standing water, as this can also lead to root rot. During the growing season (spring and summer), you may need to water more frequently than during the dormant season (fall and winter).
Humidity
Ideally, the humidity level should be around 50-60% for N Joy Pothos. However, it can tolerate lower humidity levels, as long as it is not too dry.
Pet Friendly
N Joy Pothos plants are considered toxic to pets, including cats and dogs.
If your pet eats any part of the N Joy Pothos plant, they may experience symptoms such as drooling, vomiting, difficulty swallowing, and oral irritation.
What size am I?
